Welcome to Morocco! Arrive at Casablanca Med V Airport, where you will meet your driver. The driver will give you a brief overview of your tour. Explore Casablanca when you arrive. Start with the stunning Hassan II Mosque, built by King Hassan II. It showcases beautiful Moorish influences found in Morocco. The mosque holds up to 100,000 worshippers. Then, we’ll enjoy a nice walk by the Casablanca sea. Casablanca is Morocco's largest city and economic capital. It's famous for the 1942 film of the same name. The city has modern buildings and white structures. They show off unique French art deco styles. We will visit Med V's main square and the Sacred Heart Cathedral. This cathedral mixes Moroccan and European styles. Following that, we’ll transfer you to your accommodation, where you’ll spend the night.
In the morning, we will go to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. There, we will see the unfinished Hassan Mosque tower from the 12th century. Visit the Mausoleum of Mohamed V. King Hassan II built it to honor his father. This site celebrates Mohamed V as the father of independence. Then, visit the 12th-century Kasbah of Oudaya. The lovely white and blue buildings offer a great view of the Atlantic Ocean and Bouregreg River. Then, drive to Chefchaouen. The Rif Mountains tuck away this stunning town. Enjoy a walking tour through the winding Medina. The streets, gates, and buildings shine in bright blue. This city has a powerful charm that you can sense in the main square, in the cobbled Medina. Sit on a café terrace. Enjoy the view of the grand mosque. The Torre del Oro in Seville inspires its octagonal minaret. You can find this Andalusian architecture in the Kasbah and its gardens, in the center of the Medina. Take a stroll through the lively streets of the old Medina. Then, visit the Ras Lma waterfalls. After that, head to your accommodation for the night.
In the morning, after breakfast at your place in Chefchaouen, we travel to Meknes. There, we will enjoy a guided tour of this imperial city in Morocco. We start our tour at Bab Mansour. This 18th-century gate leads to the imperial city of Meknes. Sultan Moulay Ismail built it with beautiful decorations. We continue our tour to the impressive Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. We then pass by the entrance of the Royal Palace of Meknes and end up at Moulay Ismail’s enormous Heri es Souani. This was his personal stable and granary for his 12,000 horses. After lunch, we head through the hills to see the Roman ruins of Volubilis. This UNESCO World Heritage Site has the best-preserved Roman ruins in North Africa. We leave the Roman ruins to head towards Fez and transfer you to your accommodation.
After breakfast, you will meet your private tour guide. Then, enjoy a guided city tour of Fes, Morocco’s first imperial city. They founded this UNESCO World Heritage Site in the 9th century. It is also home to the world’s oldest university. The first stop of the morning is a visit to the entrance of the largest royal palace in Morocco. Next, we will drive to the southern tower of Fes for stunning views of the medina. Then, we will visit a pottery co-operative that makes tiles and Moroccan mosaics. We will visit the tanneries to watch the locals working with the skins of animals such as goats, camels, and cows. We will visit the Medrassa (Koranic school) and the Nejjarine fountain. Then, we'll see the Moulay Idriss mausoleum and the Karaouine Mosque University. Enjoy a Moroccan lunch at a traditional restaurant in the medina. Next, explore the medina. Its narrow alleys are home to hundreds of merchants and craftsmen. They offer many products. These include dates, fish, spices, copper urns, and musical instruments. In the late afternoon, we will transfer you to your accommodation.
In the morning, we will leave Fes. First, we will visit Ifrane. People call this town "The Little Switzerland of Morocco." It features Alpine-style buildings and a ski resort feel. Then, we will continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Next, we’ll walk through the cedar forest of Azrou. It’s the largest forest in Morocco and home to Barbary apes. You can see these friendly monkeys, feed them, and snap unforgettable photos. Head to Midelt, a lovely town between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. You can stop for lunch and take in stunning views of the Eastern High Atlas. This route features many landscapes. It winds through beautiful mountains. Nomadic shepherds move with their herds of goats and sheep. As you go south, take a moment to admire Ziz Valley. It’s a lush oasis next to a stunning canyon. Follow the winding road to Erfoud, called “The Capital of Dates.” Visit a fossil museum there. Cross the beautiful Tafilalet oasis. Enjoy the amazing scenery on the way. Arrive in the Merzouga desert. Meet your camel guide and begin your camel ride adventure through the Erg Chebbi dunes. Stop to enjoy a beautiful sunset. Then, head to your desert camp in the heart of the desert for the night.
Wake up early to see a stunning sunrise over the Merzouga dunes. Then, head back to your desert camp for breakfast. After that, you will return to the dune line by 4×4 Jeep or camels and leave for our next destination: Dades Gorges. On the way, take in the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes. They change color with the sunlight throughout the day. Our journey takes us to Rissani. Here, you'll visit the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif. Then, enjoy a stroll through the souks of Rissani. Next, we’ll go through Melaab. We’ll visit a Berber house where you can get Henna, called “the Moroccan tattoo” (optional). Then, we’ll head to Tinghir and the Todra Gorges. These gorges are the highest and narrowest canyons in Morocco. They are a paradise for nature lovers and photographers. After lunch in the gorges, we’ll head to the stunning Dades Gorges. We’ll enjoy the beautiful landscapes along the way. Arriving at the Dades Gorges, visit the majestic rock formation known as “Monkey’s Fingers." We will spend the night at your accommodation in Dades Valley.
In the morning, we head to Tisadrine. The road is beautiful and winding, with stunning views of the Dades Gorges. As we continue, we pass through Kalaat M’gouna, “The City of Roses.” This place is famous for its annual rose festival and fragrant rose products. We can also stop at a local cooperative for cosmetic products, if you’d like. Next, we’ll go through Skoura, famous for its “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.” We will visit key sites like Ameridil Kasbah (Tighrmt). Next, we head to Ouarzazate, called the “Hollywood of Africa.” Here, you’ll visit the film studio and explore the historic kasbah of Taourirt. Our tour goes on to Ait Ben Haddou. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most famous ksars in Morocco. It's also a popular spot for films and series like Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and The Mummy. After lunch, we will drive through Telouet. We’ll pass stunning Berber villages and stop at a beautiful viewpoint. Here, we will explore the impressive Telouet Kasbah. It’s an architectural gem with a rich history. We will finally cross the High Atlas Mountains. We'll stop at Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 meters) to enjoy the stunning views. We arrive in Marrakech late in the afternoon. Then, we’ll take you to your accommodation for the night.
After breakfast, a local tour guide will escort you to explore the city of Marrakech. You will see important historical sites. You can view the beautiful Bahia Palace from the 1800s. Also, check out the Ben Youssef Koranic School and the Koutoubia Mosque. This mosque is the second largest in Morocco and dates back to the 12th century. Next, check out the famous Souks. It’s a great spot for shopping. You can find gifts for your family, friends, or even for yourself. Unwind in the Majorelle Gardens. This calm spot in New Town features exotic plants from around the globe. You will end your tour in Djemaa el-Fna's main square. Here, you'll find storytellers, snake charmers, musicians, acrobats, and open-air food stalls. You will have free time to enjoy a soft drink at a café with amazing views of the square. Then, you'll transfer to your accommodation or the airport in Marrakech.
